CMA Award Show and Lady Antebellum Concert on SF2

A taped montage of the CMA Award Show will be shown in Switzerland on December 9, 2009 at 11.30 on 3SAT and on January 7, 2010 at 00.25 on SF2. It will be followed on SF2 by the rousing concert Lady Antebellum gave in Gstaad.

Now that the final sounds of the Country Night Gstaad 2009 have faded away we can look back and say that it was a great success. The high-quality and multi-faceted programme on both Friday and Saturday nights offered the audience a memorable concert experience. In addition to the German band, Texas Lightning, and US newcomers Lady Antebellum, country legend Kenny Rogers took to the stage in the Menuhin Festival tent in Gstaad. All three more than lived up to their reputation. The standing ovations, particularly for Lady Antebellum and Kenny Rogers, were an indication of the fantastic atmosphere on both evenings. After the concerts, and also on Sunday, the party continued in the tennis hall. Performances by George Hug, Rodeo Ranchers, Sunny Mountain Grass and, last but not least, Francine Jordi accompanied by the Kummerbuebe Saanenland, also contributed to the success of the Country Night Gstaad.

Sunday September 13, at 8:00 pm Swiss Radio Channel 1 will broadcast the highlights of this years’ festival. What date Swiss Television will broadcast the show has to be defined. We keep you informed.

Das Feuer der Sehnsucht (The Fire of Desire) – Francine Jordi will sing this title with the group that goes by the name of Saanenländer Kummerbuebe on Sunday, September 13 on the Country Night Gstaad stage. Free admission to all events on Sunday’s programme.

Country Trio, Lady Antebellum, achieved two firsts when their third single "I Run To You" rose to the top of the Billboard and claimed the number one spot in Canada. Fans in Europe can catch the trio performing exklusive at the Country Night in Gstaad.
